Created in 1959, Domaine William Fèvre boasts one of the finest vineyards in Chablis. Its collection of prestigious plots impresses by its size and appellations: six climats classified as Grands Crus and nine Premiers Crus. This terroir enables Domaine William Fèvre to produce some of the finest white wines in Burgundy. Domaine William Fèvre has belonged to the Maisons & Domaines Henriot group since 1998.

Geographical location of Domaine William Fèvre

Domaine William Fèvre is located in Chablis, in northern Burgundy. The vineyard covers a total area of 78 hectares, divided into 90 parcels. of these, 15.9 hectares are classified as Chablis Premier Cru and 15.2 as Chablis Grand Cru. The characteristic subsoil of this terroir is Kimmeridgian. It is a clay-limestone soil rich in marine sediments. Domaine William Fèvre also owns parcels in the Saint-Bris appellation, to the south of the Chablis appellation.

Domaine William Fèvre wines

Domaine William Fèvre's vines are cultivated using integrated farming methods. The entire estate is planted with Chardonnay, except for the Saint-Bris appellation parcels, which are planted with Sauvignon Blanc. Limited yields and rigorous fruit sorting ensure the quality of each vintage's wine. For each cuvée, the wine is aged in equal parts in old oak barrels and stainless steel vats. The domaine uses Diam corks for the bottling of all its wines.

Domaine William Fèvre produces exclusively white wine. The most prestigious are its six Chablis Grands Crus. These are Chablis Grands Crus Bougros, Les Clos, Les Preuses, Valmur, Vaudésir and Bougros Côte Bouguerots. Alongside these prestigious white wines, the domaine offers nine Chablis Premiers Crus. These include Chablis Premiers Crus Beauroy, Vaillons, Les Lys, Vaulorent and Montée de Tonnerre. The domaine also produces white wines in the Chablis, Petit Chablis and Saint-Bris appellations.
