Domaine Campinuovi was founded in 2000 by Nadia Riguccini and Daniele Rosselini. The two winemakers set up their winery in the Tuscan region, near Montalcino in Italy. Daniele Rosselini is a wine specialist and native of the Tuscan country. Nadia Riguccini brings her knowledge of the land. The intention of the owners of Domaine Campinuovi is to produce authentic wines, which link the particular terroir of the region and the work of man. The estate is farmed organically and biodynamically.
Geographical location of the Campinuovi Estate
The Campinuovi Estate is located in the municipality of Cinigiano, in the southwest of Tuscany, Italy. It consists of 25 hectares, of which 9 hectares are vineyards on the slopes of Mount Amiata. The vineyard is located between 350 and 450 meters above sea level. In this area, the Tuscan soil can be composed of alluvium, sandstone, limestone and shale. This variability of soils, combined with microclimates influenced by the sea and the mountains, produces aromatically rich wines with ageing potential. The main grape variety grown is Sangiovese. There are also Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which originate from the Bordeaux region of France.
