Welcome to the Domaine Louis Jadot where the spirit is unraveled by the encounters and moments spent within the Domaine. The House was born from a great history, and more particularly the acquisition of a parcel: Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules in 1826. Several generations have succeeded one another and the family values remain very present. The first stone of the current Domaine was laid by Louis Henri Denis Jadot in 1859. The House quickly acquired its own identity, an image in its own right, notably perceived by the head of Bacchus on the labels that adorn the bottles.
In 1945, Louis Auguste Jadot, at the head of the Domaine, met Rudy Kopf. Rudy Kopf was to become an emblematic figure in the history of the House. At first, he was the importer of the House's wines in England and the United States. Later, André Gagey joined Louis Auguste as his assistant. André's son, Pierre Henry, took over the reins a few years later. In 1985, Madame Jadot sold the estate to Rudy Kopf. Since 2014, Pierre Henry's son, Thibaut Gagey, has taken over the management of the Domaine. The philosophy of the Domaine is a true source of inspiration. The last generations have preserved the wine heritage and today, this philosophy has become the main source of development. In order to preserve biodiversity, the Domaine Louis Jadot has created a nursery in Marsannay, to allow an internal massal selection and an external selection of fine plants.
The Domaine founded a cooperage in 1994: called Cadus. A cooperage that benefits the foundation and the development of their winery, for wines always more surprising! Since 1996, the House has been developing by acquiring new properties: the Château des Jacques in 1996 in the Beaujolais, the Domaine Ferret in 2008 in Pouilly-Fuissé and in the United States in Oregon, the Résonance Vineyard in 2013.
