RAMONET NOEL & FILS

There are names that instantly resonate with lovers of great Burgundy whites, and Ramonet is one of them, if not the first. 

Founded in the late 1920s by Pierre Ramonet, Domaine Ramonet has long been run by two brothers, Jean-Claude and Noël (3rd generation). From the 2014 vintage onwards, the two brothers ran their vineyards separately, before being joined later by their respective children. Until then, the grapes grown by Noël were entrusted to his brother's vineyard.

2023 marks the real start of the family adventure for Noël and his sons, Michael and Pierre-François, under their own label. Together, they already reveal a great consistency in style: tension, precision, and a vibrant reading of terroirs. We find everything that makes the wines from these mythical terroirs great: a pure, mineral, structured expression, faithful to the Ramonet spirit. The style, meanwhile, remains sober and controlled, with moderate use of wood and great energy. 

The estate vinifies only whites from the finest terroirs of Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet:

- Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets

- Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes

- Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru

- Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru

- Montrachet Grand Cru

The wines already offer immediate pleasure, but it will take a little wisdom to let the Premiers Crus and especially the Grands Crus blossom fully in the cellar, where they will unfold their full complexity over the years.
