Domaine Pierre Matrot is the result of the passion of six generations of winegrowers. In the heart of the Burgundy terroir, Adèle and Elsa Matrot follow in the footsteps of their parents, Thierry and Pascale. Thanks to Thierry Matrot's hard work, the domaine's vines have been cultivated using sustainable methods since 2000. At Meursault, the Matrot sisters vinify Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté de Bourgogne. Each vintage is vinified authentically, with respect for fruit and terroir. The result is a white wine of great finesse and a red wine that is supple on the palate.
Geographical location of Domaine Pierre Matrot
Over the years, each member of the Matrot family has acquired land around Meursault, in order to complete the range of wines. Today, Domaine Pierre Matrot boasts numerous parcels of land on the Côte de Beaune. These include Pinot Noir vines in the Blagny La Pièce sous le Bois, Maranges, Volnay Les Santenots, Meursault, Auxey-Duresses and Monthelie appellations. Thierry, Pascale and their daughters also count on parcels of Chardonnay Premier Cru such as Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault Les Charmes, Meursault Blagny and Meursault Les Perrières. The rest of the estate includes vines in Meursault, which are used to produce white wines in the Village and Burgundy appellations.
