Maison Leroy was founded in 1868 by François Leroy. Already the owner of vineyards in Burgundy at Chambertin, Pommard, Richebourg and Clos de Vougeot, he wanted to expand his vineyard. Thanks to his son Joseph Leroy and Henri Leroy, the estate grew and won numerous awards. In 1942, the winegrower bought half of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The latter had been up for sale since the crisis of the 1920s.

Lalou Bize-Leroy is a worthy heir to the name and professionalism of her winegrowing ancestors. She became CEO of Maison Leroy in 1955. Here, she perpetuates the tradition of great Burgundy wines on the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Today, Lalou Bize-Leroy offers France and the world rare and prized wines.

Geographical location of Maison Leroy

Maison Leroy owns numerous terroirs between Chagny and Dijon in Burgundy. It negotiates and buys grapes grown in terroirs ranging from Chassagne-Montrachet to Clos de Vougeot, via Beaune. Maison Leroy is located in the commune of Meursault.

The wines of Maison Leroy

Maison Leroy offers 9 red Grands Crus, including Musigny, Corton-Charlemagne and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. It also markets 8 Premiers Crus, such as Volnay Premier Cru Santenots du Milieu, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Charmes and Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Aux Boudots in red. It also offers 9 Villages appellations, including Vosne-Romanée Genaivrières and Gevrey-Chambertin. Finally, 5 generic appellations include excellent vintages of Bourgogne Blanc or Rouge.

After bottling and pressing, the wines mature in a first cellar. They are then transferred to a second, cooler cellar, where they remain until bottling.
