LORENZON BRUNO

Bruno Lorenzon represents the third generation of the family domaine in Mercurey. With his atypical background, Bruno imposes his style and creates a pure, mineral wine. This does not prevent him from respecting the tradition of Burgundy's rich terroir. For Bruno Lorenzon, working with vines and wine is precise, delicate and rigorous. A former cooperage consultant, he designs his own barrels. Bruno Lorenzon pays particular attention to wood selection. From the outset, he has been committed to protecting the terroir. In 30 years of business, he has never used herbicides. Some of his plots are Ecocert-certified.

Geographical location of Domaine Lorenzon

Domaine Lorenzon is located in the heart of the Mercurey terroir. This village on the Côte Châlonnaise is home to many Premier Cru vines. Bruno's domaine covers nine hectares of vines. Six hectares are in the Mercurey appellation and three hectares in the Montagny appellation. These Burgundy climats are planted exclusively with Pinot Noir for the red wine and Chardonnay for the white. The limestone soil is the source of the wine's identity. The terroir gives rise to a typical, colorful, full-bodied wine.

Domaine Lorenzon wines

A producer of Burgundy wines, Bruno Lorenzon offers a range of Mercurey and Montagny cuvées. In Mercurey, he vinifies three Chardonnay Premiers Crus: Les Croichots, Clos des Barraults and Les Champs Martin Blanc. He also offers a bottle of Les Champs Martin Rouge, a Pinot Noir Premier Cru. Its latest Mercurey is a Village appellation cuvée. Domaine Lorenzon also produces two Montagny Premiers Crus: Les Monts Laurent and Les Truffières. Bruno also creates haute couture Premiers Crus de Mercurey, the result of a rigorous selection of grapes. These include a cuvée of Chardonnay and two bottles of Pinot Noir, including Cuvée Carline. Finally, Bourgogne Clos Alfred has been added to the domaine's range of white wines.
