For five generations, the Lignier family has been producing some of Burgundy's finest red wines. Domaine Hubert Lignier 's vineyards stretch over two exceptional terroirs: Morey-St-Denis and Gevrey-Chambertin. The Lignier family also vinifies grapes purchased from the best neighboring vineyards. This production enables the Domaine to offer no less than three grands crus and ten premiers crus de Bourgogne.

Geographical location of Domaine Lignier Hubert

Domaine Lignier Hubert is located in the commune of Morey-Saint-Denis, between Dijon and Nuits-Saint-Georges. This village is on the Burgundy Grand Cru route. With a total surface area of nine hectares, Domaine Lignier Hubert also owns several parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. The soils of these Côte de Nuits vineyards are predominantly marly limestone.

Domaine Lignier Hubert wines

Domaine Hubert Lignier produces wines under 32 different appellations, 24 of which come from its own plots. The estate's vines are cultivated without weedkillers or insecticides. Wines are aged in barrel and on lees for 20-22 months. The wines are bottled without fining or filtration. All red wines are Pinot Noir.

Domaine Hubert Lignier produces three Burgundy grands crus. Clos la Roche grand cru is produced from two parcels in the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation. Charme-Chambertin and Griotte-Chambertin grand cru come from climats in Gevrey-Chambertin. Domaine Hubert Lignier's ten Premier Crus come from climats in four appellations: Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges.

Domaine Hubert Lignier's AOC communales come from the same appellations as their premier crus, plus wines from the Pommard appellation. In the regional appellation, the domaine also offers a rosé press wine. This is produced from declassified Pinot Noir from all the vineyard plots.
