CHÂTEAU CLINET

Château Clinet is one of the leading producers of fine Bordeaux wines in the Pomerol appellation. In 1980, Jean-Michel Arcaute, with the help of renowned oenologist Michel Rolland, introduced new techniques. They practiced green harvesting and harvested over-ripe grapes. Since 1999, Château Clinet has belonged to Jean-Louis Laborde and his family. In 2004, Ronan Laborde took over the management of Château Clinet and decided to transform it. New vines were planted, and he developed integrated, eco-responsible viticulture.

Location of Château Clinet

Château Clinet is located in Pomerol, Gironde, in the Libournais region. The 9-hectare vineyard lies on the high plateau of Pomerol. The property is located on the right bank of the Gironde and Dordogne rivers, 40 kmeast of Bordeaux. The vines, mainly Merlot, are planted on deep clay and gravel soils. Château Clinet benefits from a very favorable oceanic climate, with few frosts, enabling a late grape harvest.

Château Clinet wines

Château Clinet produces four red wines and one white Pomerol. Château Clinet is a great Bordeaux red wine. This Bordeaux Grand Cru is made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Château Clinet has a ruby-red color and aromas of red fruits. Château Clinet's other red wines are La Fleur de Clinet, Ronan By Clinet and By Clinet. They benefit from the same attention to detail as Château Clinet. The Ronan By Clinet white wine is made from Sauvignon and Sémillon grapes.
