MOREY-BLANC

Pierre Morey manages a 10-hectare estate in Meursault, Burgundy. In 1992, he created Maison Morey Blanc, following the end of certain sharecropping contracts. With this new activity as a négociant éleveur, he completed his Burgundy wine list. He produces red and white wines from prestigious vineyards on the Côte de Beaune terroir. In particular, he buys excellent fruit from Grands Crus parcels. The vintage is then bottled at Domaine Pierre Morey.

The Domaine and Maison Morey Blanc are located in Meursault. Pierre Morey benefits from hectares of vines across the Côte de Beaune terroir. Parcels stretch from Aloxe-Corton to Chassagne-Montrachet, passing through other communes such as Saint-Aubin, Saint-Romain, Pommard and Auxey-Duresses. In this part of Burgundy, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay dominate. Pierre Morey also buys wine from the Hospices de Beaune vineyards at auction.

The wines of Maison Morey Blanc

Pierre Morey ages and bottles fine wines from the Hospices de Beaune. These include three Grands Crus from Pinot Noir (Corton and Mazis-Chambertin) and two Premiers Crus from Volnay Santenots. The Hospices' white wines are represented by two Meursault Village appellations and two Premiers Crus de Meursault. The red wine list is completed by two Aloxe-Corton and two Volnay Santenots in Premier Cru appellation, as well as two Grands Crus de Corton. Maison Morey Blanc offers a wide range of white wines. The Grands Crus include a Bâtard-Montrachet, a Montrachet and a Corton-Charlemagne. The Village appellation includes cuvées from Meursault, Saint-Aubin, Saint-Romain and Auxey-Duresses. Finally, Maison Morey Blanc also produces Premier Cru Meursault and Saint-Aubin.
