PONSOT

In 1872, in Burgundy, William Ponsot bought his first hectares of vines in Morey-Saint-Denis. Here, he developed appellations such as Charmes-Chambertin and Gevrey-Chambertin Les Combottes. Thanks to the Clos des Monts-Luisants and Clos de la Roche parcels, Domaine Ponsot expanded over time. In 1936, thanks to Hippolyte Ponsot, the classification of Burgundy vines as AOC was finalized. Laurent Ponsot left the domaine in 2017, and today Rose-Marie Ponsot is the manager, representing the fourth generation of these wine and terroir lovers.
