La Chablisienne is a group of winegrowers who own vineyards in Chablis, who assemble their harvests and make wine in the same place: the cooperative of La Chablisienne. It is a very well known name in Chablis and in the whole world. The history of La Chablisienne began with a small group of winegrowers who joined forces to face the economic situation of the time. It was in the heart of Chablis in 1923 that the Chablisienne, known as a "cooperative cellar", was created. La Chablisienne harvests the grapes in the form of must, a way to control the vinification and offer the best of its terroirs. The winegrowers and the representatives of La Chablisienne are in permanent exchange to elaborate together wines that represent all the values of the Chablis vineyard and the purest expression of their terroir. These blends offer a mosaic of Climats that define the purest Chablisian style.

Today, La Maison de la Chablisienne brings together 300 winemakers who exchange, share and contribute their knowledge to unite their passion and their work in a single House.

Geographical location of the domain

The Chablisienne vineyard is spread out on both sides of the river called "Le Serein", in the extreme north of the Burgundy. The vineyard is composed of the same subsoil called Kimmeridgian, which shelters limestone banks and small comma-shaped fossil oysters ostrea virgula. The House harvests grapes from 17 communes around the Chablis, Petit Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru appellations.

The wines of the domain

The only grape variety of the Chablisienne is Chardonnay, which brings to the wines a purity and aromas of lemon and white flowers. Known worldwide for being refined wines, the House's cuvées all have the same mineral aspect, a consistent exceptional typicity.

The Petit Chablis appellation gives very fresh wines with notes of yellow fruits. The Chablis will tend towards a more pronounced finish and an even more mineral touch. The Chablis Premier Cru gives structured wines with an exceptional length in mouth. The older the vintage, the more floral notes appear on your palate. These wines can be drunk young. Ageing potential: 5 to 10 years. The Chablis Grand Cru appellation is made up of seven Climats including Grenouilles, referring to the Château Grenouilles. On the palate, you will find an explosion of fruits while keeping a mineral and elegant frame!
