BEYOND WINE, A PHILOSOPHY

The whole team of Caves Carrière in Nuits-Saint-Georges shares the spirit of wine, that of terroir and work of the land: in a few words, epicureans who are keen to transmit their knowledge and their discoveries. Each team member has their own specialty and sensitivity. Some are experts in Burgundy vineyards while others specialize in other terroirs (Bordeaux, Spanish and Italian). They go to meet the winemakers in search of the most qualitative wines while paying special attention to the artisanal work, the authentic know-how of the winegrowers.

A MEANINGFUL RECONVERSION

Even before retiring as a professional footballer in 2010, Éric Carrière had already anticipated his conversion to the world of wine.

Originally from the south-west of France, his grandparents were farmers in Ariège and passed on to him the love of the land and the values of the land. In 2002, his meeting with the winemaker Stéphane Ogier is decisive. A relational crush that will give the idea to both men to acquire plots of vines in Côte Rôtie and Condrieu in 2006. These become naturally the vineyard Carrière-Ogier... A passion that will not leave Eric, who has become a wine merchant and must-see wine seller in Dijon. His ability to federate, to create a quality collective as well as his competitive and demanding spirit also followed him in his new... Career!

A MEETING,
A DUO

Éric created the Caves Carrière in 2010 in Dijon. His meeting in Burgundy with Laurent Lignier of the Hubert Lignier estate led him to become owner of a plot of vines in Pommard. In 2013, he was joined by Nicolas Creuzot who became his partner. Both co-manager of Caves Carrière and specialist in burgundy wines, Nicolas grew up in the heart of a family of merchants specializing in cheese and wine. His grandfather, a wine merchant in Beaune, communicated and taught him his knowledge. It is around this same passion for wine, the taste of good things and common values that Eric and Nicolas found themselves. Together, they form a complementary duo motivated by the challenges.

Administrative and Financial Director at Caves Carrière, Marlène joined the team in 2018. After 2 years as an accountant, she has evolved internally and now manages a good part of the teams.

ROMAIN PONELLE

Graduated from the Beaune wine school and trained as an oenologist, he has a great technical knowledge of wines. Since his arrival in 2017, he has been going to meet the winemakers for Caves Carrière. As a purchasing manager, he is responsible for the selection of wines.

Salomé joined the team in January 2022. After having passed through a position of marketing manager as well as marketing manager, she is now executive assistant.

With ten years of experience in the sale of wines to professionals, he is now leading the attack for Carrière Distribution: a strategic vision, a collective game with his agents throughout France, and a clear goal in mind - develop our presence on the most beautiful tables of the Hexagon.
