For some families, talent has almost become hereditary and know-how acquired at an early age. When you discover the wines of Pierre Girardin , age becomes relative, as the wines demonstrate such mastery and maturity.
Is it by chance? Hard to believe when you know his father, Vincent Girardin. We still have the Corton Grand Cru Perrière 2016 in our mouths, a memorable souvenir, the one that leaves its mark, illuminating our passion for wine. We were eager to discover Pierre's work, and he's already a sure bet at Caves Carrière. His simple Bourgogne Eclat de Calcaire, whether red or white, is a real treat. His Volnay is a worthy representative of Burgundy, all elegance !
Pierre created the 4.5-hectare domaine in 2016 in Meursault, supported by his father, and offered his first vintage in 2017 at just 19 years of age. Today, he completes his range by purchasing grapes, taking us on a journey through Burgundy's greatest appellations
Geographical location of the domaine
Pierre farms the terroirs of Montrachet, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Meursault, Corton-Charlemagne and Clos-de-Vougeot, as well as Monthélie, Volnay, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin and Nuits-Saint-Georges. A diversity of terroirs that leaves no one indifferent!
The domaine's wines
Pierre's aim is to express the full richness of Burgundy's terroirs: the whites are precise and well-balanced, the reds sapid with silky tannins. Considered by some to be the rising star of the Côte-de-Beaune, it's getting closer and closer to the sun as the years go by!
