Located in the Languedoc region of France, in the Terrasses du Larzac, Domaine Cassagne et Vitailles was born of a shared passion between two French wine lovers. Created in 2015 by Matthieu Rollin and Nicolas Seffusatti, the vineyard is the result of 10 years of persistence to make this childhood dream, a reality.
Location of Domaine Cassagne et Vitailles
The vineyard is made up of 7 hectares divided into parcels, producing wines from several grape varieties, including Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault. Situated between sea and mountains, this vineyard benefits from the variety of Mediterranean soils and terroirs. The plots of land between Languedoc and Roussillon are rich in clay and limestone, due to their altitude. The soils are also made up of sandstone, which favors the drainage of rainwater. The vines are treated naturally, using organic compost and mainly manual labor to keep yields under control. Beyond the terroir, the vineyard's climate allows it to benefit from cool summer nights and mild mornings and sunny afternoons that enhance the fruit's flavors.
Domaine Cassagne et Vitailles wines
Our two winemakers aim to produce racy, intense and well-balanced wines. Their reds are intense but with fine tannins and notes of tangy, spicy red fruit.
