Domaine MIA cultivates some of the most prestigious terroirs in Burgundy's Côte Chalonnaise region. Formerly Domaine La Marche, it took on its current name in 2020 when owner M. Subotic entrusted it to the care of his daughter, Mia. She has surrounded herself with a team of passionate experts. Together, they produce beautiful red and white wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. These include a Mercurey Premier Cru and a Mercurey Clos La Marche monopole.

Geographical location of Domaine MIA

Nuits-Saint-Georges is one of Burgundy's wine-growing cradles. Vines have been cultivated in this region since the 2nd century AD. Domaine MIA is located in the heart of this rich territory south of Dijon, between Beaune, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot. With a surface area of almost 20 hectares, the estate boasts 6 different climats. These include Les Plantenays, Les Caudroyes, Les Vasées and Derrière Sazenays. The Côte de Nuits soil is essentially clay-limestone.

Domaine MIA wines

Domaine MIA's vineyards are farmed organically. The soil is worked and ploughed by horse. The estate's vines are cultivated according to biodynamic principles. Organic red and white wines are aged with the same care as the vines. The wines are matured in the estate's underground cellars.

Domaine MIA produces a red Burgundy wine classified as Premier Cru: Mercurey Les Vasées. The grape variety is Pinot Noir. It has a monopoly on the Mercurey Clos La Marche appellation. The estate's white wines include Rully Les Plantenays and Mercurey Les Rochelles, which are classified as Village. The domaine also offers a Chardonnay and a Pinot Noir in the Burgundy appellation.
