The Chavy-Chouet estate is the result of the union of two of the oldest families of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Romaric Chavy was just twenty years old when his father, Hubert, handed over the reins of the Chavy-Chouet estate to him in 2006. From then on, Romaric will be able to fully express his love for the wines of Burgundy with each vintage. Proud of his roots, he oscillates between rigor, tradition and innovation. He does not skimp on any means to elaborate great wines of Burgundy. The Chavy-Chouet estate is cultivated in reasoned fight.
Geographical location of the CHAVY-CHOUET estate
The 15 hectares of the Chavy-Chouet estate are on the most beautiful terroirs of the region. The parcels follow one another from Pommard to Saint-Aubin, passing through Volnay, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Prestigious names such as Les Champs-Gain, Les Folatières or Les Chanlins are among them. The vines are planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, except for one plot of Aligoté. Relying on a solid team in place, Romaric Chavy has been able to bring out the very essence of each appellation. From the vineyard to the bottling, he perfectly combines the Burgundian tradition with the audacity of the young generation.
The wines of the CHAVY-CHOUET estate
The Chavy-Chouet estate produces 14 appellations in white and red, 6 of which are rated as Premier Cru. We can mention Les Champs-Gains and Les Folatières in Puligny-Montrachet. On the Meursault side, we find Les Charmes and Les Genevrières. To finish with the white, let's mention Les Murgers des Dents de Chien in Saint-Aubin. The red wines also have their own Premier Cru with Pommard Les Chanlins. We also note the Meursault Clos des Corvées de Citeau "Monopole". A bottle of Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc de Blanc finishes our non-exhaustive list. Each vintage is full of promise, Romaric Chavy deserves to be followed closely.
