Domaine Henri Gouges wines

Vintage after vintage, Domaine Henri Gouges produces wines of character, both red and white, as well as Premiers Crus. Its white Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru La Perrière appellation is made from a grape variety known as "Pinot Gouges". This is obtained from a mutation of Pinot Noir discovered by Henri Gouges. The estate's most famous wines include Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Chaignots, Les Pruliers, Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges, Les Chênes Carteaux and Les Vaucrains. Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Chênes Carteaux is characterized by its great finesse. The parcel producing this cuvée extends over one hectare above Saint-Georges and south of Les Vaucrains. The Chênes Carteaux grapes produce a wine of great finesse and freshness on the palate.
