Location of Château de Malle
Covering an area of over 50 hectares, Château de Malle extends over three different communes: Fargues, Preignac and Toulenne. The vines are 30 to 40 years old on average, and have an estimated planting density of 6,600 vines per hectare. The vineyard is located on a medium-altitude plateau, on clay-gravel soil with a siliceous subsoil. The vines are planted on either side of the Toulenne and Preignac communes. On the one hand, the reds occupy almost twenty hectares in Toulenne, with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The whites occupy 3 hectares, shared between Preignac and Toulenne. The vineyard uses integrated farming methods. The aim is to protect the terroir and improve production quality. The grapes are harvested by hand.
Château de Malle wines
The pressing and pumping-over process preserves the quality of the grapes as much as possible. The 50 hectares of Château de Malle are planted with Sémillon, Muscadelle, Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
