Since 2000, Fabrice Masse has been managing the family estate, which was previously run by his father Roland. Today, Domaine Masse is committed to sustainable viticulture, with low yields and respect for the environment. The vineyard soils are worked by surface ploughing and clawing. No fertilizers are added. The vines are cultivated in an integrated manner.
The domaine's red and white wines are among our selection of great Burgundy wines. The Masse family's work in the vineyards since 1595 is a guarantee of quality backed by centuries of know-how.
Location of Domaine Masse
Domaine Masse is located in Barisez, to the east of the Givry appellation in Burgundy. The estate's vineyards extend over 15 hectares in the terroirs of Givry, Mercurey, Montagny, Rully and Maconnais. Givry and Givry Premier Cru make up the bulk of the family estate's parcels. The red wine is made from Pinot Noir and the white wine from Chardonnay. The soils and exposure of the terroirs favor these grape varieties, which are typical of the Côte Chalonnaise and Burgundy wines.
Domaine Masse wines
18 appellations are grouped together at Domaine Masse. For example, you can enjoy the following Premiers Crus in vin rougeles: Givry Quintessence, Givry En Choué, Givry Vieilles Vignes and Givry En Veau. You'll also find Mercurey Les Terroirs and Bourgogne Pinot Noir Côte Chalonnaise Vieilles Vignes. Finally, note the presence of a Givry Creuzot Monopole.
For white wines, you can choose the estate's Montagny Premiers Crus. But also discover the various Bourgogne Chardonnay, Bourgogne Aligoté or Côteaux Bourguignons wines. Finally, Domaine Masse produces a Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc de Blanc with elegant fruit notes.
