DUREUIL JANTHIAL

Since 1994, Céline and Vincent Dureuil have run the Domaine Dureuil-Janthial with passionate dedication. In the heart of Burgundy, they perpetuate the heritage of the ancient Janthial family. Their work was rewarded in 2019 with the "Vigneron de l'année" award from the Revue du Vin de France. Committed to sustainable viticulture, they work with respect for the vines, soils and lunar cycles. The vines are harvested exclusively by hand, and the grapes are picked at full maturity for optimum quality. Domaine Dureuil-Janthial produces exceptional cuvées. Its white Rully wines are now ranked among Burgundy's finest white wines.

Geographical location of Domaine Dureuil-Janthial

Domaine Dureuil-Janthial is mainly located on the Côte Châlonnaise terroir, in the heart of Burgundy's wine-growing region. It boasts almost 20 hectares of vines, spread over the communes of Rully and Mercurey. The Rully appellation is located on clay-limestone soil. The vines on this part of the estate benefit from a temperate climate with a continental influence. The rarity of late frosts means that the grapes can be harvested at full maturity. The estate also includes 3 hectares of plots in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. These appellations, located on limestone and marl soils, benefit from a more oceanic climate

Domaine Dureuil-Janthial wines

Domaine Dureuil-Janthial produces mainly Rully Blancs and Rully Rouges. Nine of its Rully appellations are classified 1er cru. Rully Blancs are made from Chardonnay grapes. These sought-after wines have a golden hue, a nose with floral notes and a characteristic minerality. Rully Rouges are made from Pinot Noir grapes. Their color is deep red, with a nose of red and black fruits. Rully rouges premiers crus are characterized by fine tannins and a full mouthfeel. Domaine Dureuil-Janthial also produces white Puligny-Montrachet, as well as red Mercurey and Nuits-Saint-Georges.
