Geographical location of Domaine Louis Michel et Fils

Located in the northern part of Burgundy, the Chablis vineyards benefit from anexceptional terroir. The rich subsoil is matched by a climate that is cold in winter but hot and dry in summer. Chardonnay is planted to create an exceptional white wine. In the 1960s, Domaine Louis Michel et Fils was the first to abandon barrel ageing. Instead, it chose stainless steel tanks for the vinification of its white wine. The aim was to preserve the natural balance of the product. The domaine has thus become the world benchmark for stainless steel tank ageing.
