Château de Cérons was created in the village of Cérons in the Graves region, south of Bordeaux, at the end of the 17th century by the Denys family. The property has had several owners over the years, notably the Calvimont family between the 18th and 19th centuries, the Vaché family during the 20th century and then the Perromat family from 1958 to the present day. The vineyard is run by Xavier and Caroline Perromat, who took over the family business in 2012. The vineyard's position on the banks of the Garonne makes it a prime location for exporting Château de Cérons wines by river.

Geographical location of Château de Cérons

The vineyard covers some thirty hectares. The vines are planted on gravelly soil (rolled sand and pebbles) with a limestone subsoil. This terroir offers unique characteristics, enabling us to produce wines from five different grape varieties: Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle for white wines, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for red wines. The vineyard favors agro-environmental approaches to soil treatment. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand when fully ripe.

Château de Cérons wines

The wine is aged in barrels, 50% of which are new. Fermentation and vatting last between 20 and 30 days in temperature-controlled vats.
