COLIN MARC

Domaine Marc Colin was founded in the late 1970s by Marc Colin and his wife Michèle, from vines inherited from the Colin and Ponavoy families. Originally, the estate covered 6 hectares, mainly in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Over the years, thanks to rigorous work and a long-term vision, Marc and Michèle developed the vineyard to 12 hectares, spread over prestigious Côte de Beaune appellations.

A family history deeply rooted in Burgundy

Domaine Marc Colin is a true Burgundy family saga. Of Marc Colin's four children, Pierre-Yves Colin and Joseph Colin first worked alongside their father, before each creating their own domaine:

- Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, renowned for its chiselled, deep whites,
- Domaine Joseph Colin, acclaimed for its precision and expression of terroirs.

Today, Caroline and Damien Colin are at the helm of the family domaine. Both are carrying on the legacy, bringing their own sensibility and a strong commitment to environmentally-friendly viticulture. Part of the estate is managed using integrated farming methods, while other plots are beingexperimented with organic farming, in a shared commitment to preserving the quality of the grapes and the health of the soil.

A mosaic of exceptional terroirs

Today, Domaine Marc Colin covers 12 hectares spread over 26 Burgundy appellations, mainly in the villages of Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Santenay. This wealth of parcels enables the domaine to produce a wide variety of wines:

- Burgundy,
- Appellations Villages,
- Premiers Crus,
- And even Grands Crus, including the prestigious Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru and Montrachet Grand Cru.

Precise, vibrant white Burgundy wines

Domaine Marc Colin produces mainly white wines (90%) from the Chardonnay grape, with a few Pinot Noir cuvées (10%). The wines are carefully aged, generally in oak barrels, of which around 30% are new, depending on the vintage.

Among our flagship cuvées, the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gain perfectly illustrates the domaine's style:

- Expressive nose with citrus aromas (orange zest, lemon),
- Delicate touches of peach and white fruit,
- Melted woody notes,
- Lively, well-balanced palate, marked by nutty and almond flavors, for a persistent finish with dried fruit accents.

A wine of great aromatic precision, both complex and elegant, true to the identity of the great Côte de Beaune whites.
