David Moret is a winemaker renowned for his white Burgundy wines. In 1999, he set up his own trading house in Beaune, choosing his grapes with care. His wines are aged in oak barrels. Most of them are new, which brings elegant vanilla and toasted notes to David Moret's wines. His expertise in winemaking and the quality of the grapes he selects enable him to produce great Burgundy wines. Examples include Meursault Premier Cru Les Genevrières, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault Les Narvaux.

David Moret's geographical location

David Moret produces wines in the Corton-Charlemagne, Rully, Auxey-Duresses and Chassagne-Montrachet appellations. It also produces three Grands Crus: Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne. David Moret has forged privileged relationships with some of Burgundy's great estates. They give him access to quality vines. Building on these links, the young négociant imposes strict selection criteria such as limited yields, the use of organic treatments and ploughing of the soil. Using quality fruit, David Moret meticulously ages the grapes to produce elegant, complex Burgundy wines.

David Moret wines

David Moret vinifies and ages exclusively white Burgundy wines. Puligny-Montrachet can be recognized by its pale gold color and smoky nose with citrus and mint aromas. It is powerful on the palate, with a long, mineral finish. David Moret's Meursault Premier Cru Les Charmes is a fresh white wine, with floral and fruity aromas and good body. As for the Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, it's a complex wine for laying down, with a nose of hazelnut and honey and a straightforward palate.
