Maison Ventenac' s aim is to desacralize wine and offer everyone the simple pleasure of "sharing a barrel". This simplicity is reflected in the winemaking process: indigenous yeasts and ageing in the most neutral containers possible. The whites and rosés are matured in vats, and the reds in terracotta jars, to let the fruit express itself. However, we sometimes use our imagination to vinify in old foudres, for example, without denaturing the grapes. Organic viticulture is a matter of course for Maison Ventenac, to respect biodiversity. The range of wines produced by Maison Ventenac is an attractive palette of single-varietal wines, simple and authentic, and more complex blended wines.

Geographical location

The Maison Ventenac vineyard is located in the heart of the Cabardès, in the Aude department, overlooking the town of Carcassone and facing the Pyrenees. It covers 130 hectares. Southern and Atlantic grape varieties thrive in the soil around the commune of Ventenac. These stony soils of marl and limestone enable optimal ripening and bring a saline, chalky aspect to the Maison's wines.

Estate wines

Maison Ventenac wines are wines with personality, wines that assert themselves without pretension, but with the pride of belonging to a terroir.

A word from Élian, our cellarman:

" Cassandre (100% Vermentino), La Muse (Syrah), Le Paria (Grenache), Patience (Cabernet Franc) and finally Diane, one of the few AOC Cabardès wines in the range. Because yes, Olivier and Stephanie are not dogmatic, and offer essentially Vins de France. Wines of France without make-up, with their own identity and whose vinification and ageing aim to accompany the wine without denaturing it. These are wines you need to discover, and there's no better way to do it than to share it with friends and family. In fact, that's the Maison Ventenac philosophy: wines that are accessible in every sense of the word, and to be shared! "
