Meet Domaine Les Bertrand , which has been in existence since the 50s. A very endearing and devoted family. The colorful labels and mouth-watering names of the cuvées in no way detract from the high quality of the wines and the way the vineyards are run! In fact, the Domaine is farmed organically and is moving towards Biodynamic viticulture. For Guy and Annick Bertrand, wine is a living material whose identity and naturalness must be preserved: they are therefore less interventionist, reducing inputs such as sulfur to a minimum (below 15 mg/L). They also avoid recurrent pumping, which can tire the wine, filtering and the use of new barrels, which are of little relevance to their terroirs. The domaine's watchword: pure, balanced, easily digestible wines!

Yann's arrival was THE moment when the Domaine renamed itself: Les Bertrand. His convictions and philosophy have added precision and experience to the vinification and ageing process. Yann brought his knowledge of the vineyard soil, which for him is the basis of work and quality. Together, they continue to perpetuate the Domaine by producing confidential, highly precise wines, a full expression of terroir guaranteed!

Location of the domaine

The Bertrands are present mainly in Fleurie and Morgon, but do not exclude Négoce, from which they produce a delicious "Pur Ju..." cuvée in Juliénas! Located in the Beaujolais vineyards, the Bertrand family's plots benefit from a temperate climate. Frosts sometimes stretch into spring, then come the sunshine that favors berry development.

Estate wines

The family's wines are made from small parcels, which gives them their charm and uniqueness. Composed entirely of Gamay grapes, the Bertrand family's wines really seduced us with their finesse and their explosion of ripe fruit, which we often find.

If we tell you about Julienas... 100%, a jewel from the "La Rizière" vineyard with elegant licorice aromas, or the Fleurie Emile with its fine, ripe cherry flavors, how can you choose? Not to mention the Fleurie Coup d'Foudre or Cuvée du Chaos cuvées, which deliver full-bodied wines bursting with fruit! But as the Bertrand don't want to spare anyone, you'll have the honor of finding a spicy, complex wine if you opt for l'Amour Perdu, a Vin de France that comes from a parcel located on the heights of Saint-Amour... If you don't want to wait, Fleurie Coup'd'Folie is a wine you can enjoy right now, fresh and fruity with a beautiful harmony. We won't tell you more..
