Paul Pernot founded his domaine in 1959. The 10 hectares of vines are planted on 200-year-old family land. An artisan winemaker, he developed his vineyards with great respect for the soil. He was soon supported by his sons Paul and Michel Pernot. More recently, his grandchildren Alvina and Philippe have joined Domaine Paul Pernot.

Today, the Pernot family estate covers 20 hectares of vines. It is one of the jewels in the crown of Burgundy wines. It produces mainly white wine with thePuligny-Montrachet appellation. The red wine is made from very old vines.

Location of Domaine Paul Pernot

The family estate run by Paul Pernot is rooted in Puligny-Montrachet. In the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the village borders Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault. It belongs to the golden belt of Chardonnay, one of Burgundy's most prestigious white wine regions.

Domaine Paul Pernot cultivates 15 hectares of vines in Puligny-Montrachet. The wines of Paul Pernot et Fils are produced on limestone soils. They benefit from a sunny East or South-East exposure. They are worked withthe utmost respect, allowing fruit with pronounced aromas to blossom.

Domaine Paul Pernot wines

Thanks to short maturation periods in aged oak barrels, the character of each terroir is preserved. Among Domaine Paul Pernot's prestigious references, the white wine Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Champs Canet Clos de La Jacquelotte is produced in monopoly. Lovers of white Burgundy will appreciate the Premiers Crus Puligny-Folatières and Les Pucelles. Paul Pernot and his sons also produce two rare wines: the Grands Crus Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet.

The domaine's red Burgundies include a Volnay Premier Cru Carelle sous la Chapelle and a Clos du Dessus des Marconnets.
