Originally from Chassagne-Montrachet, Sylvain Morey fell in love with Burgundy wines at an early age. This didn't stop him from moving to the Luberon and creating La Bastide du Claux in 2002. In 2014, the call of his family led him back to Burgundy. He created the Domaine Morey Sylvain on the vines inherited from his father, Jean-Marc Morey, who had introduced him to the delicate art of wine. Here he was, with one foot in the South and the other in Burgundy, running two estates at the same time. In just a few years, Sylvain Morey has carved out a place for himself on some of the finest terroirs of the Côte de Beaune.

Geographical location of Domaine Sylvain Morey

The4 hectares of Domaine Sylvain Morey are spread over the beautiful appellations of Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Saint-Aubin. The 14 parcels of vines are divided between Chardonnay, Aligoté, Pinot Noir and Gamay. The white wines, like the reds, are steeped in tradition and family know-how. The team in place during Sylvain Morey's father's time is still there to support him. The vines are cultivated using integrated farming methods and are worked by hand, while weeding is carried out mechanically.
