Domaine Gangloff is the story of a wonderful human adventure. Nothing predestined Yves Gangloff, a young musician, to become a renowned winemaker in the Rhône Valley. His meeting with Mathilde, his future wife, was the invisible force that illuminated his unique path. The couple created Domaine Gangloff Mathilde et Yves in 1987. After an initial trading activity, they produced their first vintage in 1992.

The success of Domaine Gangloff is based on an artisanal approach to working the vines and making the wine: observe, experiment and finally achieve a certain aesthetic in the wine. Today, Elsa Gangloff, Yves' daughter, works to perpetuate this quest on the family estate.

Location of Domaine Gangloff Mathilde et Yves

Yves and Mathilde Gangloff created their estate in Condrieu. It's a confidential vineyard on the slopes of the Rhône Valley. Today, it covers 9 hectares of vines in the Condrieu and Côte Rôtie appellations. Parcels of Saint-Joseph further south now complete the vineyard.

The vines benefit from the specific conditions of the Côte Rôtie and Condrieu regions. The slopes are steep and well exposed to the sun. The soils are mainly schist and granite. The wines are made from Syrah and Viognier grapes.

Domaine Gangloff Mathilde et Yves wines

Domaine Gangloff Mathilde et Yves wines are highly regarded by Rhône Valley wine lovers. In Côte Rôtie, red wine lovers appreciate the 100% Syrah cuvée La Barbarine, as well as the 100% Syrah cuvée La Sereine Noire. The estate's Saint-Joseph completes the range. As a white wine, the Condrieu Domaine Gangloff enjoys strong recognition from one vintage to the next. The cuvée is made from 100% Viognier grapes.
