The history of Domaine Tollot-Beaut began at the end of the 19th century. Created by François Tollot in 1880, it was taken over by his son Alexandre and his wife Aurélie Beaut in 1921. The estate changed its name to Tollot-Beaut. Today, it's run by Nathalie, Jean-Paul and Olivier, three passionate cousins who work with respect for the terroir. They cultivate the vines according to organic principles and limit yields. Domaine Tollot-Beaut wines are powerful and well-balanced. They express all the complexity of Burgundy wines, and are the result of meticulous care given to the vines throughout the year.

Geographical location of Domaine Tollot-Beaut

Domaine Tollot-Beaut is part of the Côte-de-Beaune wine-growing region. It is located in four communes: Chorey-les-Beaune, Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton, and covers 24 hectares. Two hectares are devoted to white Burgundy wines. The rest of Domaine Tollot-Beaut is dedicated to Côte-de-Beaune red wine. The Domaine Tollot-Beaut appellations are located on limestone and marl soils. The vines benefit from an oceanic climate with a slight semi-continental tendency. Those in the Aloxe-Corton appellation face both east and west. These favorable conditions contribute to the creation of great red and white Burgundy wines.

Domaine Tollot-Beaut wines

Domaine Tollot-Beaut produces top-quality red and white wines. The domaine's red wines are made from Pinot Noir grapes. They include several Premier Cru appellations: Aloxe-Corton Les Fournières and Les Vercots, Beaune Clos du Roi and Les Grèves, and Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Lavières and Champ Chevrey. The red Corton Grand Cru Bressandes can be recognized by its nose of red berries and dense, spicy tannins on the palate. Along with the white Corton Grand Cru Charlemagne, it is one of Burgundy's must-have wines. Domaine Tollot-Beaut also produces white Burgundy and red Chorey-les-Beaune.
