Founded in the 19th century by Frédéric Groffier, this family-run estate has been producing great red Burgundy wines for four generations. Its exceptional crus, including the legendary Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses, are sought after by wine lovers the world over. Today, it's Nicolas Groffier who runs the estate, in turn developing the fruits of the family vineyard. His rigorous work focuses on producing great wines for laying down. Since the 2014 vintage, only half of the latest vintage has been marketed. The wine kept will be available at maturity, so that it can express the full complexity of its aromas.

Geographical location of the Groffier Robert Père et Fils estate

Domaine Groffier Robert Père et Fils is located in Morey-Saint-Denis. Its vineyards, all in the Côte de Nuits, are located in the Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin terroirs. The estate's eight hectares of vineyards are planted on brown limestone soil. The vines root deeply, drawing their nutrients from the richness of the soil. This enables Nicolas Groffier to work his product on "Concentration through the grapes, not in the cellar". From harvest to bottling, he runs the estate with a deep respect for the vines and the land.
