Domaine Étienne Sauzet belongs to a terroir emblematic of the great white wines of Burgundy: Puligny-Montrachet. Named after its founder, the estate is still run by his descendants. Four generations of winemakers have passionately nurtured a vineyard composed exclusively of Chardonnay grapes. This age-old tradition has enabled Étienne Sauzet to produce the finest white wines in Burgundy: four Grands Crus and nine Premiers Crus in Puligny-Montrachet.

Domaine Étienne Sauzet wines

Domaine Étienne Sauzet is a biodynamic vineyard owner. The vineyards are planted exclusively with Chardonnay grapes. Limited yields ensure the quality of each vintage. Étienne Sauzet is also a wine merchant. Buying grapes enables it to maintain the excellence of each vintage of Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru. Domaine Étienne Sauzet also buys vines to produce its Montrachet Grand Cru and Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru.

Domaine Étienne Sauzet offers four wines classified as Grands Crus de Bourgogne. The Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grands Crus are made from the estate's own plots. Domaine Étienne Sauzet also produces nine white wines from climats classified as Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru. These include Puligny-Montrachet Premiers Crus Champ Canet, Combettes, Les Perrières, Les Folatières, La Truffière and Champ Gain. In the Village appellation, the domaine also produces Puligny-Montrachet and Chassage-Montrachet white wines.
