Since 2012, Armand Heitz has been passionately involved in his domain by Burgundy. His parents, Brigitte Lochardet and Christian Heitz, gave him his first vines that year. The Domaine Armand Heitz starts with a plot of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

After this first successful experience, Armand Heitz decided to expand his wine estate in Burgundy. The vineyards of the estate now extend from Beaune to Chassagne-Montrachet. The owner works the vines with the greatest respect for nature. The Domaine Armand Heitz produces red and white wines from Burgundy. It has exceptional appellations such as Pommard, Meursault, Volnay, Chassagne-Montrachet or Saint-Aubain.

Geographical location of the Domaine Armand Heitz

The Domaine Armand Heitz is located in Chassagne-Montrachet. Its vines are spread over 20 hectares, between Beaune and Chassagne-Montrachet. The vineyard of Chassagne-Montrachet is located on a clay-limestone soil at the bottom of the parcel and silty soil at the top. The climate is temperate and allows the harvest to take place with ripe grapes. The Domaine Armand Heitz also extends to Côte de Beaune, with Premiers Crus of Burgundy, such as the Volnay Premier Cru Santenots. The soil is very chalky and marly on this part of the vineyard.

The wines of Domaine Armand Heitz

The Domaine Armand Heitz produces many white and red wines. It has several appellations of Burgundy, including twelve Premiers Crus and one Grand Cru. The red wines are made from Pinot Noir with a beautiful dark red color. The Pommard Premier Cru develops aromas of ripe red fruits. The white wines are made exclusively with Chardonnay. The Domaine Armand Heitz offers exceptional white wines with, for example, a Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Combes au Sud. In order to diversify, Armand Heitz has recently produced a Crémant de Burgundy made from Chardonnay.
