Château de Meursault is one of Burgundy's largest estates, both literally and figuratively. Its history dates back to the 11th century, when it was known as the Fief du Moulin Foulot. It passed from hand to hand over the centuries. In 2012, Château de Meursault became the property of the Halley family. The vines on this huge estate are harvested entirely by hand. Cellar master Emmanuel Escutenaire then presides over the vinification and ageing of the wines. Each parcel is pressed, vinified and aged separately. The vineyards are cultivated using sustainable methods, which have earned them the High Environmental Value label.

Location of Château de Meursault

Château de Meursault comprises 65 hectares in the Côte de Beaune region. The vines are spread over more than 110 parcels, from Aloxe-Corton to Puligny-Montrachet. But also in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay and, of course, Meursault. The domaine's vineyards, planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, produce equal parts white and red wines. Exceptional terroirs include Les Charmes Dessus, Perrières, Charmes, Les Maréchaudes, Champ Gain and Champ Canet. Not forgetting Clos des Grands Charrons en Monopole.
