Domaine Geantet Pansiot, located in Gevrey-Chambertin, south of Dijon in Burgundywas created by Edmond Geantet and Bernadette Pansiot in 1954. Discreet, but renowned for its wines, this estate has grown over the years and currently has 22 hectares of vines, 20 of which are used for the production of red wines. It is Fabien, Vincent's son and Edmond's grandson, who runs it now. His sister Émilie runs a wine trading business under her own name. The younger brother, Aymerick, is studying wine in Beaune and helps out at the family estate.

Geographical location of Domaine Geantet Pansiot

The Geantet Pansiot Estate is 22 hectares of vineyards in Côte de Nuits. The parcels are located in Gevrey-Chambertin, but also Marsannay, south of Dijon, as well as Chambolle-Musigny, very close to Gevrey-Chambertin. On ploughed soils and clay-limestone or limestone, the vine grows in accordance with the principles ofsustainable agriculture. The grapes are harvested green in order to limit the yields.

The wines of Domaine Geantet Pansiot

The motto of Domaine Gentet Pansiot, "to be sober is to drink well", appears on the labels of the bottles. It perfectly sums up the characteristics of Fabien Geantet's production. These are wines for ageing, dense in the mouth and with fruity aromas and subtle tannins. The domain produces three Grand Crus, the Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, the Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru and the Chambertin Grand Cru.

The domain produces two Premiers Crus de Bourgogne, a Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru and a Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Le Poissenot. Domaine Gentet Pansiot also produces wines under the appellation Côte de Nuits-Villages, Chambolle-Musigny Vielles Vignes, Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, as well as Gevrey Chambertin En Champs and Marsannay Champs Perdrix. All these Burgundy wines produced in Côte de Nuits by the Geantet family are renowned for their excellent quality.
