Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot was founded in 1964 by Jack Confuron in Vosne-Romanée, Burgundy. Yves and Jean-Pierre, his two oenologist sons, now run the domaine. The domaine produces, for the most part, a diversified red wine. This is a complex, robust wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. The estate also produces white wine, on the margin, based on Chardonnay. Thanks to their skills as oenologists, the two brothers also offer advice to their neighbors on the estate. Yves helps with the vinification of Clos Vougeot.

Geographical location of Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot

The vines of Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot stretch over 11 hectares in Vosne-Romanée. The estate produces mainly Vosne-Romanée appellations on the Côte de Nuits. It also produces Nuits-Saint-Georges and Meursault, further south, and Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny further north. A non-certified organic wine producer, Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot has won over wine lovers.

Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot wines

Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot's flagship cuvée is Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots. It develops an intense nose of black fruit with a racy mouthfeel, making it a wine for laying down. The estate's Grands Crus include Clos de Vougeot, Échezeaux and Charmes-Chambertin. Clos de Vougeot is distinguished by notes of red fruit. Similarly, the Charmes-Chambertin develops a nose with notes of red fruit and great depth on the palate. A Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru, for ageing, is raised on hectares of hard rock and develops elegance and power on the palate. Numerous Premiers Crus are produced at Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot, such as Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Vignerondes. The estate also produces a number of Gevrey-Chambertin Premiers Crus, including Craipillot, Lavaut Saint-Jacques and Petite Chapelle.
