The history of Domaine Faiveley began in the 19th century in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy. In 2005, Erwan Faiveley, the 7th generation of winemakers, took over the running of the estate. He practises integrated viticulture with the greatest respect for the terroir. Fruit is delicately handled. The wines are aged in oak barrels for between 12 and 18 months. The result is splendid white and red grands crus and premiers crus such as Charmes-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin.

Geographical location of Domaine Faiveley

The Faiveley estate covers more than 100 hectares. The parcels, averaging around one hectare in size, are among Burgundy's finest climats, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Puligny-Montrachet and Mercurey. In Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, 12 hectares are devoted to Grand Crus and 27 to Premier Crus. Three clos en monopole are included: Gevrey-Chambertin premier cru Clos des Issarts, Beaune premier cru Clos de l'Écu and the remarkable Corton grand cru Clos des Cortons Faiveley. On the Côte Châlonnaise, Domaine Faiveley boasts 72 hectares of vines. It boasts excellent appellations such as Mercurey La Framboisière in monopoly.

Domaine Faiveley wines

Domaine Faiveley produces great Burgundy wines, both red and white. The domaine's white wines are made from Chardonnay grapes. They include three grands crus: Corton-Charlemagne, Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet. The estate also boasts a premier cru, Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières. Pinot Noir is used exclusively in the production of Domaine Faiveley's red wines. The estate is renowned for its 10 appellations classified as Grand Cru, including Clos de Vougeot, Corton, Chambertin, Latricières-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin, Musigny and Echezeaux. Domaine Faiveley also offers premier crus such as Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges.
