A native of Bourges and a wine enthusiast, Pierre Ferrand decided to show his love for viticulture by creating Château Ferrand Lartigue in 1993. Located in the Bordeaux vineyards, precisely in the commune of Libourne in Gironde , Château Ferrand Lartigue has been under the management of Vitisvintage since 2008, the company in charge of running the Châteaux Tourteau Chollet in the Graves and Grand Lartigue in Saint-Emilion. Prior to this sale, Pierre Ferrand did not hesitate to surround himself with professionals from the wine world. The many efforts he made and the remarkable results he achieved encouraged him to join the Cercle Rive Droite, a group of wine experts. Above all, Pierre Ferrand has always prioritized quality over quantity.

Location of Château Ferrand Lartigue

Château Ferrand Lartigue covers 5 hectares. The terroir is dominated by clay-limestone soil. The Château places particular emphasis on production techniques that follow the traditional methods of Saint-Emilion's Grand Crus Classés. The grapes are mechanically harvested and sorted in the winery.

Château Ferrand Lartigue wines

Vinification follows traditional methods. Maceration lasts 20 to 45 days before the wines are aged in barrels for 14 to 18 months. The grape varieties grown at Château Ferrand Lartigue are Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
