HEITZ ARMAND

Since 2012, Armand Heitz has been passionately looking after his domaine in Burgundy. His parents, Brigitte Lochardet and Christian Heitz, gave him his first vines that year. Domaine Armand Heitz begins with a plot of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

After this initial success, Armand Heitz decides to expand his vineyard in Burgundy. The domaine's vineyards now stretch from Beaune to Chassagne-Montrachet. The owner works the vines with the greatest respect for nature. Domaine Armand Heitz produces red and white Burgundy wines. It boasts such exceptional appellations as Pommard, Meursault, Volnay, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubain.

Domaine Armand Heitz is located in Chassagne-Montrachet. Its vines are spread over 20 hectares, between Beaune and Chassagne-Montrachet. The Chassagne-Montrachet vineyards are planted on clay-limestone soil at the bottom of the plot and silty soil at the top. The climate is temperate, enabling the harvest to be carried out with ripe grapes. Domaine Armand Heitz also extends to the Côte de Beaune, with Burgundy Premiers Crus such as Volnay Premier Cru Santenots. The soil is very chalky and marly in this part of the vineyard.

Domaine Armand Heitz wines

Domaine Armand Heitz produces a wide range of red and white wines. It has several Burgundy appellations, including twelve Premiers Crus and one Grand Cru. The red wines are made from Pinot Noir grapes with a beautiful dark red color. Pommard Premier Cru develops ripe red fruit aromas. White wines are made exclusively from Chardonnay. Domaine Armand Heitz offers exceptional white wines, such as Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Combes au Sud. In order to diversify, Armand Heitz has recently started producing a Crémant de Bourgogne made from Chardonnay.
