CHATEAU LE PUY

In the Bordeaux wine region, Château le Puy's winegrowing history began in the 17th century on the "Coteau des Merveilles" in the Libourne region. At the time, vines and red wheat were the Amoreau family's main source of income. Four centuries later, Chateau le Puy (AOC Francs-Côtes-de-Bordeaux) is still run by the Amoreau family. In 1964, under the impetus of Pierre-Robert Amoreau, the vineyard became one of the first estates in Bordeaux to produce organic wines. Starting with the 1990 vintage, Chateau le Puy produced its first no-sulfur-added cuvée. In 2016, the estate embarks on permaculture. The following year, the Amoreau family celebrates 100 years of le Puy wines. In all, fifteen generations of winemakers have passed on their passion for wine from father to son.
