MOREY CAROLINE

In 2005, Caroline Morey left the family domaine Jean-Marc Morey to found, alongside her husband, the now renowned Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey. In 2014, when her father retired, she took over 7 hectares of vines in Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Beaune, giving birth to her own domaine: Domaine Caroline Morey.

Caroline cultivates her vines using integrated farming methods, paying particular attention to soil work and low-intervention winemaking, while respecting natural balances. Her ambition: to preserve the terroirs, express the singularity of Burgundy's climates, and pass on a living vineyard to future generations.

The wines are aged in demi-muids, and bottled without filtration, to let them speak for themselves. The white wines, made from Chardonnay, are fermented in barrels, while the red wines, made from Pinot Noir, are vinified in vats and then aged in barrels.

An exceptional Côte de Beaune terroir

Domaine Caroline Morey extends over prestigious Côte de Beaune parcels in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and Beaune. These Climats lie on marly limestone soils, particularly well-suited to the production of great Burgundy wines. This geological diversity enables each cuvée to express a unique identity, combining finesse, minerality and concentration.

The domaine's first vintage was released in 2014. Since then, Caroline Morey has produced Chardonnays acclaimed for their finesse and finesse, including :

  • Chassagne-Montrachet Chambrées,
  • Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chaumées,
  • Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gains.

These white cuvées are full-bodied, taut and aromatically intense, ideal for lovers of great Burgundy whites.

On the red side, Caroline vinifies :

  • Santenay 1er Cru La Comme,
  • Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves,
  • Chassagne-Montrachet rouge.

The red wines are fruity, structured and perfectly balanced.

Since 2020, Caroline has been part of our Team Monthélie, a collective adventure we're leading on 5 hectares of vineyards in Côte de Beaune, at Monthelie. For this ambitious project, we have chosen to place our trust in some of Burgundy's greatest talents: Laurent Lignier, Jean-Baptiste Lebreuil, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, Jean-Claude Ramonet... and of course Caroline Morey.
