Flacons Confidentiels - Domaine Bizot

In 1966, Jean Bizot, a merchant, bought plots of vines in Vosne-Romanée, the emblematic commune of the Burgundy region. He created the Domaine Bizot on 2.5 hectares. In 1993, his son Jean-Yves took over the estate. Geologist and oenologist by training, he sublimates the small piece of terroir entrusted to him by his father Jean. Jean-Yves Bizot is the silversmith of Pinot Noir. He has a close relationship with his vines. He does precise work. He follows his intuition. He explores the details. The area remains small in size. But it becomes a reference for lovers of Vosne-Romanée. It now covers 4.8 hectares. Geographical location of the Domaine Bizot Jean-Yves The vines of the Domaine Bizot bear fruit along the villages of the Côte de Nuits. In the north, the Clos du Roy cuvée flourishes in Marsannay and then Le Chapitre in Chenôve. In the center, the villages of Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Échezeaux welcome the famous wines of the Domaine Bizot Jean-Yves on 1.70 hectares. Finally, the Domaine Bizot Jean-Yves expands to the south in Magny-lès-Villers. It thus joins the villages of the appellation Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits. The vines of Domaine Bizot grow on clay soils. The latter favour fine and complex wines. And amateurs consider that this terroir offers us exceptional Pinots Noirs. The wines of Domaine Bizot Jean-Yves Jean-Yves Bizot produces 3 wines in appellation Vosne-Romanée: the cuvée from old vines, Les Jachées and Les Réas. Le Échezeaux Grand Cru, the Marsannay Clos du Roy and the Bourgogne Le Chapitre complete the richness of the estate in red wine. The Burgundy Les Violettes is added to that of Hautes-Côtes de Nuits in white wine. Jean-Yves Bizot, a local lover, produces organic wine without sulphur or inputs. He works his vines with the precious respect of the silversmith. Its wine is bottled manually to offer a perfect connection to its lovers.
