DE MONTILLE

Located in Volnay in the Côte-de-Beaune region of Burgundy, Domaine De Montille dates back to the second half of the 18th century. Today, Étienne de Montille has been at the helm of the eponymous domaine for over twenty years. He succeeded his father, Hubert de Montille, who had revived the family vineyards, reduced to less than three hectares in the middle of the last century. A fervent advocate of early bottling, Hubert helped make the estate world-famous in the 1960s. Étienne continued the work begun by his father to produce exceptional wines. He has extended the domaine, bringing it back to the Côte de Nuits as it was in the days of his ancestors.
