Flacons confidentiels - Pierre Gonon

This Mauves estate has achieved a level of excellence that few other estates in the Saint-Joseph appellation can aspire to, for both red and white wines. It has to be said that the two brothers, Pierre and Jean Gonon, are fine winegrowers and winemakers. Exemplary hillside viticulture (organic) produces powerful wines, with extreme flavours and no make-up, in the purest of northern Syrahs and Roussannes and Marsannes from massal selections of old vines, giving incredibly fragrant whites (Les Oliviers). The latter also have astonishing ageing potential.
