COCHE-DURY

A much sought-after estate worldwide, Jean-François Coche-Dury is a world-renowned winemaker. His son Raphael has been at the helm for ten years now, and the wines have not changed. The estate's only requirement: quality. The estate developed further in the second half of the 20th century, when Jean-François' father, George Coche, began selling his wines in bottles. Originally, the domaine sold in bulk to Burgundy wine merchants. Jean-François saw his name mentioned for the first time on the labels of the 1973 vintage. A great source of pride!

Jean-François remains modest, concentrating solely on the natural expression of his terroir and the meticulous vinification and ageing of his wines. Systematic ploughing, reduced yields: voluntary practices that perpetuate the estate's reputation. He vinifies in barrels, half of which are renewed each year.
