PÉTRUS

Petrus belongs to the greatest wines of Bordeaux. A legend. That of a single wine and a Pomerol appellation reputed to be among the best in the world. The renown of Petrus was born of the determination of Marie-Louise Loubat and then Jean-Pierre Moueix. The former, a hotelier in Pomerol, acquired the seven-hectare château in 1945 and worked to establish the quality of Petrus. The latter, a wine merchant in Libourne, joined forces with Madame Loubat to distribute it. Appreciated by the British royal family and then by the Kennedys, Petrus quickly gained international recognition. Since 2001, Jean-François Moueix, son of Jean-Pierre, has been at the helm of Petrus.
