THOMAS-COLLARDOT

Domaine Thomas-Collardot is the story of a family's unwavering commitment to the winegrowing profession. Until 1992, Pierre Thomas carried on the family tradition. The vines were then leased to cousins in the family until 2010. Inspired by her roots, Jacqueline Collardot, Pierre Thomas' daughter, returned to the family estate in Puligny-Montrachet.

The new winemaker took over management of the vines. Until 2014, the estate produced grapes for sale through the negociants. Then, in 2015, it was time for the first vinification at the domaine. Jacqueline Collardot decided to forge the character of her Burgundy wines through a parcel-by-parcel approach. Mathieu, her son, now helps her in this unique vineyard accompaniment: observing the vines and being attentive to their development.

Jacqueline Collardot's estate covers 2.5 hectares in Puligny-Montrachet. The parcels cover eight prestigious Côte de Beaune climats. Les Houlières, Au Paupillot, Derrière la Velle, Rue aux Vaches, Les Nosroyes, Les Enseignères, Hameau de Blagny and Les Folatières enhance the vineyards of Domaine Thomas-Collardot.

The small size of the vineyard enables the winemakers to be in constant contact with their vines. Their work is precise and personalized. Jacqueline and Mathieu Collardot see themselves as artisans of the climats. Their concern for the well-being of their vines is reflected in their decision to convert to organic farming in 2021. Treatments are biodynamic and ploughing is done with horses on the Hameau de Blagny, Les Folatières and Les Enseignères parcels.

Domaine Thomas-Collardot wines

Domaine Thomas-Collardot currently produces three Burgundy appellations. In the Puligny-Montrachet appellation, the Premiers Crus Hameau de Blagny and Les Folatières take pride of place. Seven other remarkable white wines complete this Puligny-Montrachet range. The domaine also offers white wines from the Bourgogne appellation: Les Petits Poiriers and La Plante des Champs. Finally, red wine lovers will appreciate Le Côteaux Bourguignons Le Pierrot.
