Since 2003, Pierre de Benoist has been managing Domaine A. et P. de Villaine, his aunt and uncle Aubert and Pamela de Villaine having decided to devote themselves entirely to the famous Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Vine-growing on the estate dates back to the Middle Ages. The monks of Cluny Abbey were already producing wine here from a famous grape variety: Aligoté.
