Laurent Ponsot founded his trading house in Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, in the heart of the Burgundy region. Although he owns a small 7-hectare estate, he works with other Burgundy vineyard craftsmen. In this way, he benefits from the harvests of thousands of hectares of vines. Laurent Ponsot's wines come from many of the region's terroirs. He takes advantage of some of the most prestigious parcels to create his wines. For example, he has 52 hectares of Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne and 28 hectares of Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin.

The wines of Maison Laurent Ponsot

Laurent Ponsot offers a wide range of red and white wines. In addition to his Bourgogne Rouge and Bourgogne Blanc, he creates Village appellation wines, such as the Saint-Romain and Meursault whites, or the Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny reds. There are also four white Premiers Crus in the Meursault appellation and four red Premiers Crus, including a Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes and a Gevrey-Chambertin En Ergot. The Grands Crus include red wines from Griotte Chambertin, Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot and Chambertin Clos de Bèze. White wines include Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne and Bâtard-Montrachet.
